This year the North Fork Chapter returned to the Elk Expo (July 27-28)  at the Elk Country Visitor Center in Benezette, PA.

Our ever popular Atlatl Throw is held in memory of George Miller one of Pennsylvania's best known master of the atlatl.

This type of spear launcher was used in Pennsylvania for at least 10,000 years by Native Americans before the invention of the bow and arrow sometime around 900 AD.

The chapter will also displayed prehistoric artifacts from western Pennsylvania.

We return annually to this event and our setting is well attended by thousands of watchers and those wanting to try their hand with this ancient weapon.
